I've always been mesmerized
by potters manipulating a
lump of clay into something
beautiful, useful, decorative.

My love of textural items and
history have found a way to
merge on my slabs of clay.
Beginning with these slabs
textured with antique lace,
I cut and shape the clay into
various forms both
decorative and functional.

My art is at home hanging
on a wall, being used for a
famous casserole, chilling a
bottle of wine, even holding
a pretty plant in the garden.

After graduating from the
CCCC Sculpture program I
knew I wanted to continue
my connection with the art
community in Siler City
so on most days you can find
me in the Underground Studios
